A lot of characters in each book, a few too many at times and characters are "over detailed" when not
necessary to the story
Easy reading, good books for reading while waiting at Docs office or other waiting places where you
dont' need to really concentrate on what you are reading
I would read other books in Falconer series if author writes them as Falconer and Carmichael are fun
characters and I like our their working relationship grows into a better working relationship and friendship

I read 12 of Andrea's books in a row. I was looking for something not too complicated and easy to follow after a major surgery when I was drugged up on pain killers. I enjoyed her characters and the plot lines. It really made going through recovery much more enjoyable.
I have loved all the books in this series! I am, at present, on book # 7 and was sad when I saw there were only 12! ...But then I saw she had written #13 and I was happy again...lol. You will grow to expect the unexpected and enjoy trying to figure out Who Done It!
Excellent story. Great characters. Good plot. I loved the book. I would recommend to all mystery lovers. I can't wait til I read the next book.
This 6th book of this serie is so good ... full of love, hate , thriller , and music in this one ... one you start you just can't wait to read what happens next ... would recommend to all ages !
The motivations for the murders are hopelessly inadequate. People who would kill this lightly aren't normal. Moreover, the casual acceptance by others of the crimes isn't normal. The simple-minded "psychology" employed by the detectives is worse than childish.
I have been reading my way through the series and felt let down by this volume. It doesn't add anything to the series and the case pretty much solves itself. Early in the book there are a couple of things that are introduced in such an unsubtle way that they might as well have had a big flashing CLUE sign and sure enough they are the keys to the solution. In my mind the series is on probatoon. I'll give #7 a chance to win me back .
Another fun book in this series. DI Falconer and DS Carmichael of the Market Darley CID get all the odd cases that seem to abound in small villages around them. I really like these books, the have fun and humor, suspense, and interesting interaction between Davy Carmichael and DI Falconer. As much as Falconer likes to keep to himself with his cats for company Davy brings him into the life of his new family, and I think DI Falconer secretly likes it.
